Uncle Peterby ~SallyDoesArts

Last night I had dinner with my Aunty Jill after not seeing her for around 20+ years and my cousin Eve who I had not met before. They had come to Melbourne to sprinkle my Uncle Peter's ashes, although that may not work out as the venue in which they want to sprinkle them may not allow such a thing... it is really uncertain.

They were lovely people anyway. Aunty Jill is a bit of an art connoisseur and took a liking to my art style, as did her daughter Eve and it made me feel really positive about what I've been doing. So I've painted them this painting of Uncle Peter from a photo that was taken about 5 years ago at my Mum's wedding. I haven't given this to them yet, I'm just crossing my fingers that they'll like it.

Uncle Peter was an interesting guy, I only met him a few times over the years but I do remember one of the last (the last?) times I saw him we had a conversation about the government, he was super cynical which amused me.

Anyway, here it be. Acrylic on A4 painting paper, over about a 3 hour period.
